Manitoba RCMP have released video surveillance of two men breaking into a Manitoba beer vendor. One of them is wearing a goalie mask and carrying a hockey stick.
On Aug. 15, around 2:15 a.m., two people smashed the entrance door window of the C-Store Beer Vendor at the Russell Inn, in Russel, Man.
Surveillance video showed one of the men was wearing hockey goaltender equipment, including a goalie mask and carrying a hockey stick.
“He may have been a defenceman or forward in disguise as he was wearing jersey number 17 – a non-traditional number for goalies,” RCMP said in a media release sent Friday.
The other man was wearing mitts or gloves, a large coat, a baseball cap and had his face covered, RCMP said.
“They took three cases of Budweiser, and were in and out within 30 seconds,” said Jean Betke, the manager of the vendor.
Betke said the vendor had been broken into the night before as well, and two cases of Budweiser were taken.
The total damage of both night’s robberies are around $2,500 she said.
No arrests have been made yet.
