Lumby area locals get preference for Hockeyville pre-season NHL game

Lumby is Hockeyville 2016.

LUMBY – Lumby area residents will have the best chance of seeing a pre-season NHL game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings.

The village won the right to host the game in the Kraft Hockeyville competition.

It takes place October 2nd at Kal Tire Place in Vernon.

Residents of Lumby and North Okanagan Regional District Areas “D” and “E” are eligible to win 1,234 tickets to the game.

There are 310 tickets available for others who enter the supervised, public draw on September 20th at the Lumby and District Chamber of Commerce office.

All entrants must be at least 19 years old and provide photo identification.

The same process and eligibility requirements will be used to select ticket winners to a practice session the Oilers and Kings will hold on the morning of the pre-season game.
