2 Manitoba highways get $53M facelift

WINNIPEG — The provincial and federal government are spending $53 million on upgrading two Manitoba highways.

The money will be spent on sections of Highways 1 and 6.

The work on Highway 1 will occur between East Braintree and Richer, Man., and will include grade widening, resurfacing and rehabilitation.

The work on Highway 6 will occur between provincial road 248 and St. Laurent.

It will include installing shoulder widening and rumble strips.
