WINNIPEG — It’s been an active morning weather wise already for parts of Manitoba.
Spotty thunderstorms have been rolling through parts of the southwest with many areas already under severe thunderstorm watches or even warnings.
The area most at risk for storms more severe in nature appears to be the Gimli, Arborg and Berens River regions.
Most of these severe storms should stay to the north of Winnipeg, however we are still at risk of storm activity into the evening.
Just before 10 a.m. two severe thunderstorms developed between Brandon and Virden with nickel to golf ball sized hail reported.
Hot and humid conditions will continue through the southern half of the province for most of the day before a cold front sweeps in to cool things down Wednesday.
Conditions can change very quickly so people are advised to keep an eye on the sky throughout the day Tuesday.
