At a press conference Monday for radio station Blvd 102.1, it was announced Normandeau will host the afternoon drive time show beginning Sept. 6.
She responded to concerns of a conflict of interest, saying she will not speak about her charges on air, nor will she be doing any interviews concerning corruption or UPAC.

Normandeau added she won’t shy away from other political stories, but her show will focus more around subjects like the economy, family, technology and events going on in the city.

She had been working at FM 93 since January 2015, but the station suspended her after the news of her charges were made public.
Normandeau has claimed wrongful dismissal and the two parties are now in court.
Her troubles don’t stop there – Premier Philippe Couillard‘s caucus is refusing to appear on her show while she battles corruption charges in court.
Normandeau called the decision disappointing because it goes against the presumption of innocence.

“I find that totally displaced and irresponsible,” she said.
“At the limit, it’s disrespectful of the citizens of Quebec. MNAs of the National Assembly seem to have forgotten their fundamental role, to watch over the fundamental rights of all Quebecers.”
Blvd 102.1’s program director, Dan Caron, said he’s happy to have Normandeau on his team and he’s staying positive about the outcome of her trial.
Normandeau’s next court appearance is Monday, Aug. 29 in Quebec City.
