Cyclist dead after being hit by truck in Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie

A cyclist was fatally struck by a truck on Rosemont and d'Iberville, Monday Aug. 22, 2016.

A 24 year old woman has died after being hit by a truck on the corner of d’Iberville Street and Rosemont Boulevard.

A 911 call was placed at 2 p.m. to report the collision, in the borough of Rosemont–La-Petite-Patrie.

Emergency services confirmed that the young woman was cycling through the intersection when she was struck. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 45 year old man driving the truck was not injured.

“The intersection is closed off in all directions,” said Abdullah Emran, a spokesperson with Montreal police.

Police officers and ambulance technicians are currently on the scene to determine the cause of the accident.

  • Rosemont E. and Molson
  • Rosemont E. and Louis-Hébert
  • d’Iberville and Bellechasse
  • d’Iberville and des Carrières
