Mosquito fogging continues in Winnipeg Monday evening

WINNIPEG – The city’s mosquito fogging trucks will be on the streets Monday evening, targeting neighbourhoods in north part of Winnipeg.

Crews will start fogging at 9:30 p.m., weather permitting. Trucks will be on the streets until 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

This comes days after the city said the supply of malathion it purchased in 2009 was deemed safe to use.

Areas set to be fogged Monday evening include:

  • Kilcona Park, River East, Springfield North, Valhalla
  • Kildonan Drive, Rossmere A
  • Eaglemere, Grassie, McLeod Industrial, North Transcona Yards, Springfield South, Valley Gardens
  • Munroe West, Rossmere B
  • Chalmers, Glenelm
  • East Elmwood, Kildonan Crossing, Munroe East, Talbot Grey, Tyne Tees
  • North St. Boniface, Tissot, Central St. Boniface, Dufresne,
  • Mission Industrial, Holden
  • North Inkster Industrial, Oakpoint Highway,
  • Omand’s Creek Industrial, Tyndall Park
  • Burrows – Keewatin, Inkster Industrial Park, Mynarski,
  • Pacific Industrial, Shaughnessy Park, Weston, Weston Shops
  • Burrows Central, Robertson, William Whyte
