After multiple training sessions, 150 superheroes rappelled down the 21 floors of the Regina Hill Towers.
The minimum donation to participate is $1,500, about the average cost to send a kid to Camp Easter Seal.
Armour Safety and members of the Regina Police S.W.A.T. team were on hand to guide people down the tower.
Brooke Boechler and Bonnie Stewart both participated for the first time.
“It was such an experience, adrenaline was just rushing,” Boechler said.
Stewart decided to participate this year after watching her daughter participate last year.
“I thought, this was something on my bucket list I really need to do this.”
She added that she has a fear of heights, but would have gone a second time if possible.
Chris Pass with Armour Safety ran the training sessions, and was a familiar face this morning as he got participants ready and into their harness.
“It’s extremely safe, the most danger you’ve put yourself in today is driving here, and that’s about it.”
Many of those rappelling showed up in a traditional superhero costume.
The name superhero was given to participants years ago by Easter Seals Canada, after they noticed the positive impact these large donations were making.
