Peel cop injured after cruiser collides with pickup truck in Brampton

A Peel Regional Police officer and a driver of a pickup truck were injured following a collision in Brampton Thursday evening.

The crash happened on Bramalea Road just before 11 p.m.

Both the officer and the driver were taken to hospital with minor injuries and were later released.

Images from the scene shows the front end of the police cruiser crumpled with damage also to the rear end of the pickup truck.

There’s no word yet on what led to the crash.

The major collision bureau is investigating.
