2 men found dead in North Central Regina, coroner investigating cause of death

Police tape surrounds a residence in Regina’s North Central area after two men were found dead.

The Regina Police Service (RPS) have confirmed the two men were 32 and 33-years-old.

Police say they were called to a home  along the 700 block of Retallack Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon,  after being contacted by a caller who said a man was found not breathing.

Police and EMS responded and pronounced the man dead, and at the same time found the body of another man.

Chantelle Friday, a neighbour in the area spoke with Global News and said the scene Wednesday night was pretty hectic.

“There was a woman screaming for help and the neighbours helped her. Then police came very fast, like a lot of them,” she said.

Friday said the woman screaming lived at the residence with her young children.

Another neighbour, Alexandra Dubois said her brother-in-law was one of the victims and described him as a family man.

“He was close with his family and his friends. He loved talking and telling jokes and posting stuff on Facebook,” she explained.

Police say they are not releasing the names of the victims at this time. The office of the Chief Coroner is currently investigating both deaths.
