There will be temporary traffic delays as city crews begin installing separated bike lanes on a portion of Bloor Street between Shaw Street and Avenue Road.
Construction begins on Aug. 2 and will run through to mid-August with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction.
The bike lane pilot project was approved by city council in May and a final study will be released on the plan’s effectiveness by the end of 2017.

City officials say all on-street parking will be removed for the first few days of construction. Efforts have also been made to accommodate TTC service which is expected to run as normal.
Cyclists are being told to use Harbord Street as an alternative route for the first week of work.
Signs will also be visible where parking is not permitted.
