Toronto police say a gunshot victim walked himself to hospital after an overnight shooting near Little Italy.

Police said the man is in his 20s and was hit in the chest when gunfire erupted around 4 a.m. near College and Bathurst streets.

They described the injury as minor and said he has already been discharged from hospital.

Police said he is not co-operating with investigators.

No one else was injured in the shooting.

There’s no word yet on any suspects.

It was the first of two shootings overnight.

Police were called around 6:30 a.m. when multiple shots were fired into a car in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Railside Road.

There were two people inside the vehicle but no reported injuries.
