The Montreal Children’s Hospital is asking Pokemon Go players to stop dropping game lures in the facilities.
“We understand the good intentions behind wanting to drop lures,” said Sandra Sciangula, a spokesperson for the hospital.
“The majority of our inpatients are not in a position to play Pokemon Go. They are infants, must remain in isolation due to their condition, or they need assistance to leave their room.”

A lure attracts Pokemon to a Poke Stop for 30 minutes, allowing people to easily capture them without having to move too far.
The idea was apparently to leave lures near the hospital so children who are too sick to go outside can have a chance to play.
However, the MUHC released a statement discouraging the practice, saying they’re worried about random players wandering through the hospital.
“We know everyone means well, and appreciate that the kids are in their thoughts,” said Sciangula.
“We would instead encourage Pokemon Go fans to reach out to primary or secondary care facilities for pediatric patients.”

Hospital officials added anyone who is “less ill will have a shorter stay in the hospital” and can then play at home.
