Strange places Pokemon Go is sending its players

In your efforts to “catch ’em all,” you may find yourself venturing off into some interesting places.

That’s especially true if you live near certain landmarks or areas.

There have been reports of people stumbling upon the game’s characters near minefields in Bosnia and even the front lines in Iraq.

Based on our social media trolling, there are a number of other random, daring and rather unique locations the game is directing people.

Here are a few of the strangest locales trainers have visited.

The U.S. Marines Firing Line

The U.S. Marines posted a comical tweet featuring Pikachu a week ago that confirmed Pokemon can be found at military sites.

The Pentagon

One of the hardest places to access, the famously secretive home of the Department of Defense, houses a Pokestop where you have to battle the Pokemon you’ve collected.

Tours of the Pentagon usually have to be booked at least two weeks in advance and the use of cellphones is prohibited.
