Body found in Coquitlam home; IHIT on scene

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is investigating after a dead female was found in a Coquitlam townhouse this afternoon.

Police have been on scene for several hours gathering evidence at the residence in the 1100 block of Eagleridge Drive.

Emergency crews were called to the area at 5 p.m., and have been at the house since, gathering evidence.

The victim’s identity has not been identified, but foul play is suspected. IHIT has not said whether a suspect is in custody, or has been identified, but say “there is no evidence to indicate the public is at risk as a result of this incident.”
