“It’s stressful, man, it’s very stressful,” said Sean Williams as he attempted a French braid on one of his daughters.

He said his motivation for participating was to be able to spend more time with them.

Williams and 25 other men participated in the Wednesday evening activity at Spirit Spa.

“They want to be able to be there for their daughters in the same capacity with doing hair and things, normally, a mother would look after,” said Terri Lowe, studio manager at the spa.

There could be future classes with more complicated hairstyles, she added.

The other two hairstyles on the agenda that night were pigtails and ponytails.

“What do you think, Tessa, am I an even more cool daddy than before?” Williams asked his daughter.

She responded, confirming he is.
