Police release identity of fatal shooting victim in northwest Toronto

TORONTO — Police say one man is dead and another injured after shots were allegedly fired between two moving cars on a Toronto street.

They say officers responding to the incident on Wednesday afternoon found two men in medical distress and both were taken to hospital.

Police say 20-year-old Abdirizak Hersi was pronounced dead at hospital, while the other man, also 20, was treated and released.

Investigators say they’re looking for a dark, four-door sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
