A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Pictou County on Wednesday, RCMP say.
Officers received a call from a woman reporting a plane in distress. She told the RCMP she could no longer hear the plane’s engine.

Officers responded to find the small plane had made an emergency landing in a farmer’s field near Division Road in the community of Bay View.
The lone occupant of the plane wasn’t injured.
RCMP are expected to stay on the scene and will eventually turn the matter over the the Transportation Safety Board to investigate.
