Nadia Comaneci to watch Jeux du Québec and attend Montreal Olympics anniversary

MONTREAL – Forty years after she scored a perfect 10 at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci will be returning to the city.

While in town on July 21, Comaneci will watch some of the competition events at the Jeux du Québec.

In addition, Comaneci will also be attending the JO’76 celebration, which will be held at the Olympic Stadium.

As the first person to ever record a perfect 10 in Olympic history, Comaneci has largely been referred to as the queen of the 1976 Olympics.

The Jeux du Québec will be taking place July 17-25 in Montreal, where 3,700 athletes under the age of 18 will participate in 17 different sports.

The various sports will be played at different venues throughout the city.

Created in 1970, the Jeux du Québec has had over 3 million athletes compete in its history.
