A Northern B.C. woman has caught a wild feast on camera.
Dora Wesley in Lax Kw’Alaams, B.C., a remote town about 38 kilometres north of Prince Rupert near the U.S. border, set her phone in between some rocks to see if she could catch some eagles dining on freshly-caught fish.
Her awe-inspiring video shows she got exactly what she was hoping for.

“I had to leave my iPhone planted on a rock down the beach while I placed another small rock on top of my iPhone so it was camouflaged with the rocks. I then ran back up to the road and got back into my car. I drove away and came back 15 minutes later to see if I captured any Eagles feeding; sure enough I did.”
The video shows at least three eagles – and a crow – fighting over the fish scraps Wesley placed before beginning to film.
“Typically during salmon season our people in the community will throw away the fish scrapings down the beach so that the eagles feed,” Wesley told Global News.
Their gesture is a simple way to acknowledge nature’s circle of life.
“We get most of our traditional foods from the ocean so it’s nice to give back to nature by feeding the eagles.”
