2 banks robbed about 30 minutes apart in Milton and Oakville: police

MILTON, Ont. — Halton Regional Police say they’re looking a group of thieves suspected of hitting banks in Milton, Ont., and Oakville, Ont., about 30 minutes apart.

They say three men entered a bank in Milton at about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, approached at teller with a note demanding money and indicated they had a weapon, but none was seen.

Police say a sum of money was turned over and they left.

Approximately 30 minutes later, two of the three suspects from the previous robbery entered a bank in Oakville, but this time police say a weapon was seen by the teller.

No bank employees or customers were injured in either incident.

Investigators say the suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous and are asking member of the public not to approach them.
