Prince William has issued a challenge to #StandUpToBullying, in partnership with a charity which honours his mother‘s legacy.
“Bullying is an issue which can affect any one of us, regardless of age, background, gender, sexuality, race, disability or religion,” the Prince William said in a PSA released Monday.
The video was recorded in support of the first ever Stand Up To Bullying Day launched in the U.K. by the charity, Diana Award.
More than 60,000 young people miss school every year in the United Kingdom due to bullying, Prince William says. But it isn’t limited to schools or children.

“It exists all around us: in people’s homes, in their workplaces, and in their wider communities,” he states.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to stand up to bullying, and not merely standby, the popular royal adds.
“Research shows the victims of bullying can become more susceptible to depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, and experience difficulties maintaining healthy relationships.
“This cannot be allowed to continue.”
The prince has been known to show his softer side, particularly since becoming a parent.
William has said fatherhood has made him “more emotional,” and prone to welling up. He and wife Catherine (a.k.a Kate Middleton) are parents to Princess Charlotte, 1, and Prince George, who will turn 3 on July 22.
