Twitter was filled with chatter Monday after a moose was spotted wading in Wascana Lake.

At around noon, Todd Mintz tweeted out a photo of the moose in the lake near Willow Island.
Mintz later said on Twitter that the moose had moved to the shallows where it rested. Later in the afternoon, it was seen on the south shore.

After the moose was seen, Regina police sent out a tweet reminding the public to keep their distance if they see the species.
