Lake Country woman killed in canoeing accident identified

The Lake Country woman whose body was recovered from Okanagan Lake Monday has been identified as Arlene Susan Westervelt, 56.

The B.C. Coroners Service said Westervelt went missing on Sunday after her canoe capsized.

Police and fire officials started looking for Westervelt Sunday night and found her body Monday morning.

Her husband was also in the canoe when it overturned. He was picked-up by another boat.
