A legal marijuana grow operation in Langley has gone up in flames.

Langley Township Deputy Fire Chief, Bruce Ferguson, said the industrial-style building, located at 23009 Fraser Highway, has a Health Canada license to grow 30 plants.

Ferguson said one person was on scene, but has since fled.

Crews cannot get inside at this time so they are fighting it from the outside.

There are 24 firefighters on scene and five fire trucks.
