14-year-old boy facing charges in Regina crime spree

A 14-year-old boy from Regina is facing charges after a vehicle was stolen and multiple residences were broken into over the past two weeks.

Regina police say between June 9 – 17, there was a motor vehicle stolen, a house on the 2000 block of Elliot Street was broken into and a house on the 800 block of Robinson Street was forcibly entered.

There were also break and enters, as well as thefts, at garages on the 5000 and the 5100 blocks of Snowbirds Crescent, as well as a garage on the 4700 block of Skinner Crescent.

The 14-year-old boy charged in connection with these incidents is facing a total of seven break and enter and theft charges.

The boy cannot be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He made his first appearance in Youth Provincial Court Monday morning.

Police are still investigating similar events that they say may be related.
