UPDATE: Man charged in Calgary medical clinic stabbing
Calgary police said one man is dead after a stabbing believed to be “domestic in nature” at a northwest medical clinic Thursday afternoon.
The victim has since been identified by nearby store owners to Global’s Sarah Offin as Dr. Tiejun Huang, the owner and acupuncturist at Perpetual Wellness Chinese Centre where the stabbing occurred. Police believed the owner was the target of the attack.
At around 2:30 p.m., police received a report that someone entered the medical clinic at 1623 Centre Street N.W. with a knife, and stabbed multiple people.

“I can’t speculate on what the thought process of the suspect was going into this,” Insp. Dean LaGrange said.
“I can tell you all three people were known to each other and it’s domestic in nature.”

Paramedics took a middle-aged woman with a “soft tissue injury” to the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre for treatment.
LaGrange said the investigation thus far shows the attacker was in (or had been in) a relationship with that woman.
