A 22-year-old Beaver Bank man is facing several charges, including impaired driving charges, in connection with an October 2015 fatal car crash in Beaver Bank, N.S.
The accident happened early on October 18, 2015 on Beaver Bank Road.
RCMP say the small car carrying four people left the road and sustained significant damage.
A 21-year-old Beaver Bank man died at the scene, while a 22-year old Lower Sackville woman died in hospital two days later.
A 19-year-old woman and the 22-year-old driver were also injured.
Earlier this week, RCMP arrested the driver and laid several charges:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
- Two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
- Two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death
- Operating a motor vehicle with a BAC (blood alcohol level) over 80mg% causing bodily harm
- Two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC over 80mg% causing death
The man charged has not been named. He is scheduled to appear in court July 27, 2016.
