Police are on the hunt for a man and a woman wanted in connection to a violent robbery in which the victim was attacked in broad daylight near Yonge-Dundas Square.
Toronto police say a 53-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk on June 1 around 7:30 p.m. when he was approach by another man and a woman.
The male suspect then attacked and choked the victim for several minutes as the female suspect robbed him, police say. Both suspects then fled north on Yonge Street.
Police have released security images of the incident which shows the male suspect putting the victim in a headlock while the woman watched from behind.
Police say the 53-year-old man suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital to be treated.
The male suspect is described as white, wearing blue jeans, a brown long-sleeved shirt and a brown poor-boy hat.
The female suspect is described as having long, straight, black hair, wearing blue jeans and a red long-sleeved shirt. She is seen smoking in the images.
