Calgary police are attempting to return a selection of stolen items to their rightful owners.
The items were found in a vehicle impounded from a parking lot in the 8000 block of Country Hills Boulevard N.W. on Jan. 16.
Officers were called to the area for reports of a suspicious man. The man’s vehicle was packed with items believed to have been stolen. Later it was determined the vehicle wasn’t registered and it was subsequently impounded.
Two weeks later, police executed a search warrant on the vehicle. Investigators said drugs and stolen goods were found inside, along with a firearm.
Robert Brousseau, 36, is charged with one count of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of breach of recognizance, one count of possession of break and enter tools and one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Police said they’ve been able to return some items to their rightful owners, but other items remain unclaimed. Those items have been catalogued and added to a photo gallery set up on Flickr.
Those who spot items they think are theirs are able to email recoveritems@calgarypolice.ca with an image number and contact information until July 15, 2016.
