Cellphone video captured the terrifying moment of an apparent road rage incident in Oklahoma that ended with a car crossing into other lanes and smashing into a guardrail.
Police are searching for a suspect, believed to be a male in his late 20s or early 30s, that was driving a red Dodge pickup truck on May 28.
Officials believe the man behind the wheel of the truck was the one seen in the footage tailgating a young couple that sent them swerving into other lanes on Highway 62 in Muskogee and eventually crashing into a guardrail.
Noah Wilson, 18, and his girlfriend, Gracie Bottger, 17, received minor facial injuries from the incident.
Wilson told NBC News affiliate KJRH News the Dodge pickup rode his car’s bumper for about a minute before pushing his vehicle into the other lanes.
“He just hit us and then didn’t quit pushing us until we got into the grass,” Wilson told KJHR News.
He added that he was trying to pass another vehicle in front of him when the crash happened.
Bottger added the suspect in the truck should be more considerate of other motorists on the road.
“The person in front of you has a family, the person in front of you has a life. You’re not the only person in the world that matters,” she told KJRH News.
Police said shortly after the incident, the suspect assessed the damage of his truck at a nearby convenience store.
Officials are now trying to identify the driver with surveillance footage from the store.
According to News On 6, the driver could face two charges, including an assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an accident.
