Two people have been charged in relation to an alleged robbery involving a man and woman who met on a popular dating site.

Officers say they were called to Kennedy Drive and Caledonia Road in Dartmouth after a man said he was robbed at knifepoint by a man and woman.

He told police he met the woman on the online dating site Plenty of Fish.

Police say the man suffered minor facial injuries after being punched.

Thirty-one-year-old Heidi Elizabeth Heise and 34-year-old David George Moriah, both from Dartmouth, are charged with robbery with a weapon.

She has also been charged with breaching a probation order.
