A Toronto man is facing charges after it’s alleged he drugged and sexually assaulted a woman who answered his online ad for the sale of a cat.
Police say the 26-year-old woman answered the ad on Kijiji on Thursday and met the man regarding the pet.
They say after she agreed to buy the cat she had food and drinks with him, and that when she began to feel unwell he led her to the bedroom and sexually assaulted her.
Fifty-two-year-old Ghenadie Carpov was arrested and charged Friday with sexual assault and administering a noxious substance.
Investigators are concerned there may be more alleged victims.
