Kelowna cyclist allegedly stabs driver

KELOWNA — Kelowna RCMP say one man is facing charges following a case of road rage that ended with a stabbing.

The incident happened last Saturday afternoon when a cyclist struck the back of a pick-up truck on Gramiak Road in Rutland.

Police say the driver offered to help the cyclist, but the man refused and took off. However, the cyclist came back and an altercation broke out between the driver and cyclist.

Police say the cyclist stabbed the driver in the stomach with a knife.

The driver was rushed to hospital but is expected to survive.

The cyclist, an 18-year-old Kelowna man, was arrested at the scene.
