Police search for suspect in Stoughton, Sask. bank robbery

RCMP and Regina police are following up on leads after a bank robbery in Stoughton, Sask. File / Global News

STOUGHTON, Sask. – RCMP and Regina police are currently investigating the robbery of a bank in Stoughton, Sask. on Friday.

According to police, at approximately 10:45 a.m. a bank was robbed by one person armed with a weapon. The individual left the building and fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.

Police say the suspect then left the area in a car.

Regina Forensic Identification Section, Regina Police Dog Services, Regina General Investigation Section, Carlyle RCMP, Estevan RCMP, Weyburn/ Fillmore RCMP and regional traffic services all took part in the investigation.

Police say they are following up on leads and no one was injured in the robbery.
