REGINA – A crash between an ATV and pickup truck Monday has claimed the life of one woman and sent a seven-year-old to hospital.

Wadena RCMP responded to the collision on the Fishing Lake First Nation Monday evening.

Mounties say the woman passenger on the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene and the child was transported to hospital via STARS air ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup was not injured in the collision.

RCMP don’t believe alcohol played a factor in the crash and an investigation is ongoing.
