WINNIPEG — Canadians will see a new face in their wallets in 2018 and the latest public opinion poll conducted by the Angus Reid Institute indicates Canadians prefer Nellie McClung.
The “Famous Five” activist is the most popular choice to become the first Canadian woman to be featured on a banknote, but she is not the majority pick.

According to Angus Reid, Canadians are divided along regional lines as to which woman should be featured on the new bill.
The poll also shows four-in-five Canadians agree that at least one woman, other than Queen Elizabeth, should appear on the front of a Canadian banknote.
