This is the 17th year the association has donated the toys. They gather them at their annual “Teddy Bear Ride,” a motorcycle ride where participants bring bears to donate to the hospital.

Dallas Harty said it’s the association’s way of giving back to the community.

“It makes us feel good about what we are doing,” Harty said. “And that is part of our mandate, is to give to the community.”

This year’s ride had over 180 participants, all donating at least one stuffed animal. They said it was one of the best turnouts in almost two decades of the charity ride.
