COCHRANE, Ont. – Police say human remains found in northern Ontario are those of a 70-year-old woman who went missing two weeks ago.
Ontario Provincial Police say the remains were found in Fournier Township, southwest of Cochrane, Ont., on Saturday night.

An autopsy conducted on Monday confirmed they are those of Aline Lalonde, also known as Aline New.
She was last seen at her home in Cochrane on May 3 and her disappearance sparked a search involving canine, helicopter and forensic units.
Police have charged 41-year-old Richard New with second-degree murder in connection with her death.
He is scheduled to appear in Cochrane court on June 7.
