Pair of Penticton Vees honoured with national league awards

PENTICTON – Two graduating Penticton Vees players have won Canadian Junior Hockey League national awards.

Forward Tyson Jost was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and Top Forward after notching 42 goals and 104 points in 48 regular season games.

Jost lead the league in points-per-game average (2.17) and assists (62).

Dante Fabro earned the CJHL Top Defenceman award.

Fabro was the league’s top-scoring rear-guard with 67 points.

His points-per-game average of 1.47 was also a league best for defencemen.

Both won gold medals at the 2015 Junior ‘A’ Challenge in Ontario.

The two 18-year-olds are ranked in the top 20 for this year’s NHL draft.
