“I do not wear a rug”, “my IQ is one of the highest and you know it” and “I’ve never seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke,” were just some of the buzz phrases used in the advertisement.

The video was posted on the company’s Facebook page Thursday and received more than a quarter-million views in the first six hours.

Some viewers were left wondering if the electricity company was endorsing the brash presidential hopeful.

“Are you supporting the Donald,” wondered Marina Brown.

“No, we’re not supporting him at all, quite the opposite,” responded Powershop New Zealand. “Our advertising is about poking fun at the big guys with lots of power who often use it for their own interests. Donald Trump is one these people.”
