Prosecutors have not specified which charges Fred King – also known as “The Prophet” – will plead guilty to.

The 57-year-old, who led the Church of Jesus Christ Restored in Chatsworth, is charged with sexual assault, assault, sexual exploitation and uttering threats dating from 1978 to 2008.

His brother, Judson King, is set to stand trial in June on charges of sexual assault, assault and assault with a weapon from 1981 to 2007.

Allegations of sexual, physical and psychological abuse were laid out in a book by a former church member several years ago.

Her name cannot be released due to a publication ban.
