It’s been a year since the passage of Ryan’s Law — legislation which made it illegal for schools to keep inhalers away from kids suffering from asthma.

His school in Straffordville, southeast of London, did not allow him to keep his puffer with him, despite repeated efforts by his mother and a doctor’s note.

Ryan’s Law was a private member’s bill introduced by Progressive Conservative MPP Jeff Yurek which passed unanimously.
