1 in custody after report of two men with a gun in Etobicoke: police

Police have one man in custody after police responded to reports of two men with a gun in Etobicoke Friday morning.

Police say they initially received a call just after 10 a.m. for a report of two individuals with a gun in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard and Thirty Sixth Street.

They were last seen near Brown’s Line north of Horner Avenue where officers managed to arrest one of the men just before 11 a.m.

Police placed four schools in the area under a hold and secure procedure which included Lanor Junior Middle School, St. Ambrose Catholic Elementary School, Sir Adam Beck Junior School and Christ The King Catholic School.

There’s no word yet on when the advisory will be lifted.
