A Toronto police officer suffered a broken foot following a vehicle pursuit in the Alexandra Park area early Thursday morning.
Police say officers were patrolling the area around 1 a.m. when they spotted a suspicious vehicle and tried to pull it over.
That’s when the vehicle fled the area and collided with a police cruiser on Denison Avenue a short time later.
Police say two people were taken into custody. There’s no word yet on charges.
The injured officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
