Britain’s Prince Harry recently visited schoolchildren in Wokingham, west of London, as part of filming for a television show.
Students at Lambs Lane Primary School also met with competitors involved in the Invictus Games, a sports event featuring military personnel who returned from their service injured or sick.
Prince Harry told Sky Television that he hoped the open-mindedness of the children will help to “completely smash the stigma that surrounds prostheses and disabilities as a whole” that prevailed in previous generations.
He also said he could understand the psychological impact of conflict from his own experience, with a “percentage of me being able to relate to exactly what they go through.”
Sky had embargoed the footage and released it shortly ahead of the screening of the television show.
