Police seek suspect in shooting that injured Uber driver with stray bullet

Police have released new information on a male suspect linked to a shooting in downtown Toronto that injured an Uber driver early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. outside of a bar in the area of Trinity Bellwoods near Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street.

Police say several shots were fired and one of the bullets hit an Uber driver in the arm as the vehicle was turning the corner.

The suspect is described as black, with a dark complexion, between 20 to 25 years of age, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, with a medium build and short black hair.

He was wearing a red/orange puffy vest, and a light-coloured hooded top, with a white logo on the front underneath the vest. He was also wearing dark blue jeans and white sneakers.

Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
