An elderly woman is dead and six others injured — including a toddler who was airlifted to hospital — after three vehicles crashed head-on north of Toronto.
Two people were trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters when the vehicles crashed around 9:30 p.m. Friday in Stouffvile.
York Regional Police said Saturday a 75-year-old woman was killed while the three-year-old boy was airlifted to SickKids hospital in serious condition.

Numerous ambulances attended at the scene.
The traffic reconstruction unit is investigating.
