REGINA – The Riceton, Sask. dog owner caught in the centre of one of Saskatchewan’s largest dog seizures has been given a few of his dogs back.
Earlier this month, Animal Protection Services (APS) seized 70 dogs from Terry Baker’s farm after a lengthy investigation relating to dog cruelty.

Baker says he’s since gotten three of his dogs back, but there’s a catch.
Baker says he had to pay $490 to APS, and is accusing the animal protection agency for using him as a cash grab.
“They’re using the dogs for as a campaign for donations. Because the dogs are shipped to kennels and humane societies in Alberta and they’ll be getting $250-$300 apiece for the dogs,” Baker explained.
According to Baker criminal charges against him are still pending.
