RCMP arrest 3 people arrested in Toronto in Hamilton human trafficking probe

TORONTO – The RCMP says three people have been arrested in Toronto in a human trafficking investigation.

Police say all three were wanted on Canada-wide warrants on human trafficking charges and are now in custody awaiting bail hearings in Hamilton.

Investigators say Gizella Domotar, 43, Anna Lukacs, 37, and Gyozo Papai, 42, were arrested at a residence in Toronto without incident on Tuesday.

The RCMP-led investigation targeted an alleged human trafficking ring that operated in the Hamilton area.

It’s alleged that victims were recruited from their home in Hungary to work for the traffickers in the construction industry.
